About me

Initially trained as an Art Therapist at the University of Hertfordshire in the early 1990s, I went on to become a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with The Guild of Psychotherapists (2002-8). The Guild has a pluralist ethos, which means that no one approach is considered to be right for everybody, and different theories have different perspectives to offer. Therefore I treat everyone as an individual and bring open minded understanding to each person’s particular struggles and life circumstances.

I have a postgraduate certificate in Consultancy to Organisations and 2 years post qualifying, post-graduate level training in Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy. I am a member of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society and am very pleased to learn about the evidence-based approaches to trauma work being developed within the field of Psychoanalytic Energy Psychotherapy. I am a senior (Diplomate) international member of ACEP, the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology.

A member of The Guild of Psychotherapists, the Climate Psychology Alliance and BPS, I am accredited by the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and am a UKCP recognised Supervisor.  My work is congruent with the Code of Ethics of these organisations.

I hold a clear Enhanced DBS check.
